Student Learning Objectives: Introduction & Implementation
Student Learning Objectives (SLOs) are designed to provide educators in all subject areas with a system to monitor and report their impact on student growth. In this one day (or custom multi-day) training educators will learn how to create Student Learning Objectives and successfully implement the SLO process in their classroom.
The training will provide a clear pathway to creating high quality SLOs. Educators will examine how the SLO process provides a flexible system for measuring their student growth. Unlike standardized assessment results, SLOs allow teachers to monitor student growth in the current year and demonstrate their own impact on student learning growth.
The SLO process will be modeled and practiced with experienced educators as your facilitators. The training will reinforce the guidelines & educational best practices established by the state and U.S. departments of education for quality Student Learning Objectives.
In what ways can the SLO process empower educators?
