"The training in formative assessment by the Align, Assess, Achieve crew is spot-on! Over the last three years, they have worked with our teachers, and have provided our teachers with the background they need to completely understand formative assessment and the strategies that can be incorporated into their classroom. These strategies take what the teachers already do on a daily basis and provide them with the steps needed to target instruction and promote student understanding. The presentations are clear, compelling, and logical, making implementation feel doable. The trainers are credible in the eyes of the teachers because they have used the methods in their own classrooms and can share the positives and the roadblocks that might be encountered. Most importantly, they have seen first-hand how the use of targeted formative assessment can lead to increased student learning."

"After 34 years as an educator, this is without a doubt the best workshop I have ever attended. It has changed my entire way of thinking about instruction and assessment. I can't wait to share it with other in our district."

"Achievement Rings give my students control over their learning and achievement. I often ask my first graders, when they are about to earn an achievement card, if they feel they should earn their card at the present moment or wait until they get more practice. I have been surprised on many occasions the amount of students who realize they do need more practice and would like to wait on the earning of a card. Through the use of Achievement Rings coupled with formative assessment our classroom reached almost all our learning targets by the middle of March!"

"The things I found very beneficial about this week's session were: the pace was good, the variety of activities that engaged the audience, the clips were especially effective, the two-speaker format, Q & A time was great, and the speakers were knowledgeable."

"I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for the two days that you spent with our teachers on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. All of the comments from the teachers were positive about the things that you shared with them and the way that you presented it. Even teacher who have been the biggest skeptics about all of this were nothing but positive about what you did with them. (Frank Beickelman's training)"

"My group, from West Elementary, in Athens, Ohio, were all very pleased and impressed with the quality and thoroughness of the presentation, and with the substance of the material. It is rare to get 6 people all in agreement in that way, so congratulations to you!!"

"We sent 8 teachers to this training and everyone who went is raving about how much they benefited from it. They are fired up and ready to make some changes. Word has already gotten around to some other teachers--and they are asking me when the next training will be so they can go. It's so refreshing to receive such positive feedback. Thank you for the opportunities you afford all of us."

"Thanks, Katy. We had a great day. Their knowledge is so sound - but their approachability with teachers and their endless examples of how they apply learning targets w/their students is what makes them so good. They have such credibility w/our teachers."
