Leann Knape,
Common Core and Formative Assessment Trainer

Since 2003 Leann has served as an Elementary Principal for Olentangy Local Schools. In this position, she facilitates teacher teams in the development of quality assessments and targeted lessons, as well as providing professional development focused on analyzing student data.

Previously, Leann worked as an intervention specialist for five years for Gahanna City Schools, Middle School West where she received three years of training in the Understanding by Design and Differentiation process. In this position, she worked collaboratively with teams of teachers to develop and implement quality lessons with formative assessments guiding the instruction.

In her four years working for Whitehall City Schools, Leann developed and implemented inclusion programs from Rosemore Jr. High. In this position, she collaboratively worked with teacher teams to differentiate instruction in order to meet the needs of a diverse population.

Leannholds a M.A. in Educational Administration, Elementary Principal (K-8) from Dayton University and received her B.A. from Ohio University in Special Education (LD, CD) and Early Childhood Education.
 
Leann enjoys spending time with her husband and three young boys. She is also an avid runner, and loves to travel.
