Mark Kevesdy,
Common Core and Formative Assessment Trainer

Mark Kevesdy has been in education for the past 20 years. He has been recognized as an outstanding educator, receiving the prestigious Emerging Leadership in Education Award (2000). Most recently, he was the recipient of the Metro West Kiwanas’ Teacher of the Year Award.

Mark is an accomplished writer. His book entitled Creating Dynamic Teaching Teams in Schools (1997) was one of the first of its kind in the country on educational teams. He has also written a novel, What Lies beneath (2010), that has reached many young adult readers.

Mark has served on numerous committees throughout his career that have focused on building effective teams and utilizing student data for continuous improvement. He has facilitated numerous workshops and conferences on the subject of co-teaching, multi-age student teams, and data teams.

Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Kim, and their five children.
