Kristin Robbins has facilitated professional development with Align, Assess, Achieve, focusing on defining power standards and identifying critical indicators while creating clear learning targets in student friendly language. Kristin has been formally trained not only in the delivery of professional development around formative assessment, but also in the development and implementation of grading and feedback systems that truly represent student classroom achievement.

Before her work as an administrator, Kristin worked as a Language Arts teacher in the Westerville City School district. During her time in the classroom, Kristin discovered an interest in assisting her colleagues with the development of classroom instructional practices that reached all students. Through this work, common units were developed with specific, agreed-upon assessment practices and initial interdisciplinary discussions and reflections on assessment methods. From this, grading policies and instructional practices developed.

Since 2000, Kristin has worked as the Assistant Principal for Bexley High School. A few areas where Kristin has focused over the past decade include: Advanced Placement teacher training; expanding student opportunities and improving achievement; creation of quality classroom instructional and assessment design under Understanding by Design and/or Assessment for Learning frameworks while documenting and measuring the effectiveness of classroom interventions for all students.

Kristin holds a M.E. in Policy and Leadership and Secondary Principal and Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent from The Ohio State University. She also received her B.S. in Education from Miami University. Kristin’s free time is spent cheering on her two young athletic sons at various fields across the Mid-West.
